Introduction

​Shahrazed ELMETENA​NI is a PhD candidate in the division of Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering (CEMSE) at KAUST.  She joined Electrical Engineering Department at KAUST in January 2013 after earning Master Degree and Engineering Diploma in Systems Control from National Polytechnic School of Algiers, Algeria in 2012. Her research interests include modeling, control and optimization of industrial processes powered by renewable energies, particularly solar energy (photovoltaic and thermal solar).

Research Interests

  • ​​Modeling and control of distributed industrial systems.
  • Control of concentrated solar collectors.
  • Control and optimization of photovoltaic systems.
  • Hybrid modeling of dynamical systems.
  • Numerical simulation of industrial plants.
